Hey friends, we are having a community event (diwali celebrations) for Maheshwaris in GTA at a banquet hall in Brampton. We wonder if there is anyone who does photography as fun activity/hobby and would be willing to cover the event for 4-5 hrs for some extra pocket money and dinner. NO professional photographer needed - our budget would be less than what a professional charges per hour!
It is simple function - a get together for about 150 persons and we need someone to cover the event which would have some skits/dances and a couple of speeches.
It would suit someone who has a reasonably OK SLR Camera and who knows when to click. May be a young student who wants to make some money or a seasoned adult who would be interested in making some friends on the side.
We will have about 3 such events per year and we could consider taking help from the same person for all of them.

Thanks for your suggestion Mitron...... and we have done that on previous functions. However, if one wants to cover the whole function nicely and in good quality photos it does not work as desired. People tend to click photos in which they have interest, their families, their friends or their own children performing. For example, if you want a photo of each performance, you will find mostly photos focused on each person's child, not the group in its entirety. And obviously you do not want one person from each table standing and taking photos of their table while some function is going on. People should be focusing on the performance while independent photographer also clicks some photos of the atmosphere created by each performance and non performance.
