Dear All,
I am a resident of Alberta having a valid Alberta Security License and was working in Calgary. I am planning to move Toronto in April, my question is whether or not my Alberta Security license can be exchanged with Ontario one. Your input on this would be much
appreciated. Thanks
It can't be done. You must surrender your Alberta Private Investigator and Security License when leaving the province. You must then apply in Ontario, BUT if you make a few photo copies of your documents and submit them with your application, it will likely help you get the new one.
If you read your permit, it is written on the back!
You might also need a GURANTOR here, please see their application on the web. But your service there might be recognized here in Ontario. Please check with them
Help is provided to you under this. It takes 10 working days to get the ID Costs are given.
Good Luck
