Or should I wait for the other colleges, and what are the chances of getting PR there...!! Not only that what are the chances of job opportunities in london?

You have to take a course that will enhance your aims in Career and you need proper guidance and courses to take. Alternately GO for a DEGREE and you will be sure to get PR after that. Alternately see if they will provide you entry into a CO-OP course. In that method of study, you work 6 months and study six months. Your financial burden will be minimal and 4 years will fly by like breeze.

The College will help you with PR. Contact and make sure. Also find out from the Past Alumni and Students.

Fanshaw is a good College.

Accommodations are plenty and pretty good. Drop a note and tell us what course you have been accepted into and the anticipated costs also.

Caveat Emptor.

A 30 week Diploma Course that you are going to complete, will not permit you to apply for a PR status. A Four Year Degree Course will certainly permit you to do that. A Three year CO-OP Course plus an additional Diploma will certainly get you the Employment for a like period. After which or during the last year will let you apply for your PR.

But the Diploma if found essential in a high paying job there in India, you can certainly avail the 30 week course and then move on. If at all they will provide you with a work permit for a like period, say, 30 weeks, will only let you recoup a few dollars or a part of the funds that you spend for the course and the stay here in London .ONT.

Please do your own evaluation knowing the above facts.

Hope this helps you a little.

Caveat Emptor.

I have a course of two years without co-op, and knowing the fact that by selecting any two years course, I will be able to get a work permit for 3 years so...
Would 5 years period be enough to get pr in london, ontario..??

The other option I have is to not pays fee for fanshaw and wait for the reply from Conestoga...!!
But it's a huge risk as I would miss my September intake if not received offer letter from Conestoga...!!
What's your opinion on it...?

Study hard and prove to yourself and us that you are a great recruit for the co-op program.

With the CO-OP program, you will find the course will be much more practical one and you will get a First Hand knowledge of the local Employment and how they go about it one day at a time. You entering the field during its mid period you will have revamp your experience and learn the whole gamut of the full operation all by yourself and prove to your employer that you are well above the Canadian Standards and retain your post with them.

Every day of your stay after obtaining the work permit will be counted towards your PR application and there are possibilities of extending the same through the same employer or another one if it calls for at a later date. They will also consider your stay here within Canada and provide you with sufficient recognition for the Three years you spent as a student.

As a co-op worker if you obtain a Driver's License and sustain yourself, it will add more credit to your occupational status. If your Employer asks for your services after you complete your course load, you will find your futurehere in Canada secure. So, be guided by a few of these facts and the standing it will provide you completing the same.

You have a clear picture now what it is that you will be doing and the time required for completion if you devote your time and effort in not only completing your studies, your ability to prove that you are really serious in establishing your life and career here in Canada to one and all.

That will be the ultimate test.

Success comes to those who persevere.

Good Luck.

FH.

CO-OP is a better program. I do not have your program details at Conestoga to compare and evaluate. Both the Colleges are good. The decision is yours.

Being in this profession for almost 25 years and within Toronto, let me give you an honest opinion.

1. PM's in IT are available by the dime and dozen. It will be tough (but not impossible) for you to get a job in the same field.
2. Last year Canada issued approx. 193K student visa's to Indians, guess what..more than 50% of them are in and round Toronto.
3. If you have contacts with other students ask them about the job situation...and get a true picture not a rosy one.
4. You'll be competing against locals who get an under graduate degree in Engineering or other IT related subjects (The degree in India - Bachelor of..., is referred to as under graduate here)
5. There is a housing crisis in TO, every single basement has be taken up by desi's. So finding accommodation is not easy. It may not apply in your case since you're targeting London, unfortunately I don't know the status of London housing.

As I said this is my honest opinion...I'm not discouraging you but giving you a true picture
