SInce jake3D has taken temporary sanyas:p , IS someone here who can tell me what to see in Montreal?

IS Quebec City worth going to at all?

this is not for me.

One of our neighbors from India are visiting with their sons family (2 kids in there).

SO something of Kid's interest should also be part of the fun.

??thanks??

Montreal is very toronto-like, except (as Jake3d would claim) a lot more diverse and lively. There are some nice spots to see but its known more for its wild-side (night-life and all) than being a family desitnation.

Quebec city on the other hand is very different (from what I've heard, haven't been there yet.) It looks a lot more french than Montreal does and I'm told there's more activities there that umm.. "stand out"?

That's about all the info I have for now, will try to find more and let you know.

Are you there?

I dont know much abt Montreal, but in quebec city they can go for whale watching. That's a great 2 hr boat ride. Kids love the play structures in teh mall (cant remember the name). Nice old euro style buildings. Not bad trip at all.

There are some good spots to see in Montreal such as St Josephs Oratory which is famous for its stained glass windows, the Bio dome which is a good attraction for kids, and the Olympic stadium. It is probably worth visiting Montreal for a day.

Quebec City has a great riverfront which is very European in its appeal. It still retains a quaint old world charm. In the summer there are many events such as recreation of colonial marches / parades etc. going on at the riverfront.

I have only 2 cents to contribute, not a cent more, not a cent less ;-)

You have already got some info on Montreal. Old Montreal is really nice and fun for the entire family.

Quebec city is worth going to. It is the only fortified city in North America with really nice stores and other touristy stuff. There is also the Montmorency falls and Quebec parliament.
