The time frame depends on color of letter?
The reason I asked about the colors is because I heard on this forum that it effects the oath date. I dont know if its true or not.

Were they asking everyone to show passport ? Is showing Driving License and Health card and PR card good enough ?
I am asking this question because I lost my passport last year and did not make it after that as I am planning to have only citzenship , Canadian. . So I dont have a passport so would that be OK at the test? Anyone reply would be welcome
I think they ask for passport to check if you been out of Canada or not ( I mean to say to confirm that you meet residency requiremtns for Citizenship ) from entry/exits stamps from different countries.

passport, or its copies is something they will probably ask you to produce... almost everyone i know who has given citizenship test recently was either asked to bring the passport along to the test, or they were sent a letter a few weeks after the test to submit notarized copies by mail...
its a good idea to take it along with you and show it when you take the test even if they dont specifically ask you to bring it, that way, if they didnt ask for it before the test and decide they want to look at it afterwards, you can save yourself some extra time by preempting the request...

If your passport is lost you need to inform Indian High Commission.
Otherwise when you possess Canadian Passport and will go for visa, they will be requiring your Indian passport to cancel.
Never try to save money that will give you headache later on.
