Help me guys,
I am a Permanent Resident of Canada , from past 1.5 yrs. Recd my Permanent Card too. I met a very special person, and we fell in love. He is from california, USA and a green card holder. We later realized that if we get married, I cannot live with him legally in USA as green card holders cannot sponsor their \"spouses\". There is lot of complications. Legal complications - US laws dos NOT permit it.
I would like to know how can we be together. If I go to USA on a tourist visa and stay there for 6 mths or more, OR even if I overstay, will this effect my status in Canada. I plan to stay with him untl he gets his citizenship, which would be another 1.5 yrs.
1. If I get deported, will I be deported back to Canada OR India.
2. I have also applied for the immigration of my parents in canada, their ACCEPTANCE LETTER has come, so if now go on a tourist visa, get married to him there and overstay, will this effect their application.
I am confused. I love him and so does he, please help. He can move to CANADA , but thats a last option.
I would be thankful, if someone can help me.

U.S. laws do permit GC holders to sponsor their spouses, a lot of people do it. The catch is it takes a really long time, about 3 yrs. or so. So it'd be faster if he got his citizenship and then applied for you in case you got married.
If you go on a tourist visa, you could stay but you can't really work there. The best option would be to try for a H-1 (work permit) from here. A company from the U.S. would have to sponsor you for this, maybe your boyfriend/fiancee can help arrange this. But with this, you can stay in the U.S. and work as well.

Are you there?
Not that easy.
If I go on a work permit , I will lose my status in canada as a permanent resident. and what happens if i go on tourist visa, and overstay, will be deported back to canada or india.
i am not a canadian citizen, but have PR card.
any idea??????????/

I think if you go on work permit - you will not loose your PR Status. You can return back whenever your work permit expires.
Previously it was required to get RRP (Returning Resident Permit) but now a days it is gone.
If you have PR card you can return back to Canada.
This is my thinking - please check with experts or study yourself at http://www.cic.gc.ca

Apart from masti your worry is reasonable - as application for your parents in on its way. I think if you go to US on H1, you should keep showing your income in Canada in order to maintain the requirement of Minimum income to sponsor someone.
You should also show them that you are not planning to leave Canada forever - somehow - may be you can buy an apartment or something that is permenant.

I dont think so. Until I came to canada I always thought Love is everything, but here I guess the status is what it matters.
Shit!! and when I ask my boyfriend to come down here, he doesnt wanna do it either.
so one more question, how long you think its gonna take for them to come to canada.

Why don't you wait for another 1.5 year ( I know it is hard), get Canadian citizenship and get married with your friend. In that case you can stay in USA without any problem. And by that time your friend will also get US citizenship.
At this point of time if you move to the USA, yes it will effect your parent's visa application.
