In the GTA , one of the most developed region in Canada, 175,000 people are solely dependent on food banks for their daily meal and 16% people are living below poverty line. We are number 2 in poverty and homelessness (10% Canadians are homeless) among G8 nations… but still we claim, we are the best place to live on the face of the earth

Where did you get these statistics?
175k people get food from food banks! The system must really work pretty well, lots of countries that I know of where the system would not be able to sustain providing food for 175k people…….
10% of Canadians are homeless?!! 10% of the Canadian population would mean 3 million people, I’d be very interested to read about this – from what I have read, the number is not in excess of 250k across all of Canada, taking the broadest possible definition of homelessness, which translates to less than 1% of the population.
16% below the poverty line – interested to know where you got that number from……
What’s the laugh for, are you happy to see people that are homeless / low income?
Crenshaw, try to spend some time on reading news papers, listening news on radio and surfing net to get these numbers.
Food bank news was on air today morning on Global TV
16 % Canadian live below line of poverty : Search my posts at CD and you will get the source of this information.
10% Homeless : Dig the net and you will get this information too.
I can see thru your posts that you are always in the state of denial, but facts are not going to change by your state of denial, isn’t it?
And let me make myself clear I was not laughing on these number, actually I was laughing on people like you…. Why? I think you know the reason

You put out some vague numbers and then want someone else to check out the net to substantiate them?
That figure of 10% of Canadians being homeless is preposterous....like I said, 10% equates 3 million people. If you have any links that support that, put them out, else its apparent that you're stupid.....Well, my turn to laugh......
