First i would like congratulate the owner of the site for its success.

I am entering as a independent category but i am interested to start off with some sort of small business. I am making plans to enter toronto.

Question: Is there any legal issues if i want to start off business even though i have entered as non business ?

Question: what is the major items of import and export of canada from middleeast and india?

If u are coming as immigrant u should not have any prob if ur starting ur business. The legal system depends up on wat u wana start. I meant Company or Partnership & so on, its up to u 2 make the decision. Import & export is a good area to start if u have previous exp in that feild. or If u have some good investment there are lots of franchising opp.

There are lots of items which is being imported in to Canada u have to look for the right stuff to bring, u have to be here to understand the market. Once u come here u will get an idea.

Thanxs for your previous reply. I have past experience in Oil field Industry and currently i am working as Lotus Domino Systems Engineer. I want to pick up the job and start off with this trading business side by side cause of my time advantages. How much usually one needs to spend to start off with a small business of trading ?

To start with a Private limited Company u will need around $ 600 - 700 for incorporation, GST, PST Business number and so on. But If u need a office then it depnds up on where u rent & so on. so Investment is up to u, U can even start it from ur house. The Capital for Trading depends on what u wana trade but to start with 5000-10000 should be sufficient.
