I did not got any advise on my case , which is as follows:

Applied for citizenship for self and family on 2Oct.2003.
Finger print submitted for self in May 2004
Copies of passport /employement detail/ bank detail etc submitted in Aug 2004.
Till now case as per Citizenship office is " Under Progress"

I applied in Dec 2003 and became a citizen in Nov 04

Is your proof of residency for 3 yrs out of 4 clean and verifiable . Genearlly , that is where it takes the longest delay . The other however is the security checks etc apart from CIC delays at your own local office
