Is there any problom for a Vegetarian to survive initial period

Depends on how long you want to survive on the restaurant food though. If it's only for a couple of days I would rather survive on Pizza, veggie burgers, pasta, etc. I am not sure where you're planning to stay but depending on where you live 'pure' vegetarian restaurant might be a couple of minutes away or quite a long distance to travel.
On the otherhand if you can manage to cook rice then maybe you can get on with a few pickles and powders - so far as my taste buds go, I would rather prefer this rather than depending on restaurants. Actually, this is what we did in the first week of our stay.

1. There are plenty of Vegetarian restaurents in Toronto area, in fact 2nd highest in North America. You can get veg food from several continents here.

2. However else where in canada you will have problem if you try eating out. Most ppl here dont understand well what vegetarianism is and may often slip in food that otherwise is clearly non veg.
3. To get proper info, ask the question in a proper forum such as vegdining.com or do a search in yahoo or google. Asking right question from wrong people can only bring ridicule

In Greater Toronto Area(GTA), other options (apart from restaurants)for vegetarians not able to cook their own food could be tiffin services and paying guest accommodation.
