Is there anyone here with experience teaching hindi to children (5-10 yrs of age)?. Anybody with any experience in programming (television) for children is welcome too. I am exploring a possible business venture and am looking for associates with knowledge in the above mentioned areas.
If you are located in Montreal...all the better.

Hi jacob,
Nice to hear that you are planning a venture in media,I hope to be a part of it someday. I havent interacted with media related Indians in Canada as yet....! I am a voice dubbing & jingle artist here in mumbai for 20 yrs now, I am thinking of getting to work in canada myself. recently I posted a msg called "radio jobs in canada?" you might have come across that one .
anyways, let me know if theres anything you might need from Mumbai, I ll be glad to help, as for a hindi teacher in montreal ...teaching hindi is not such a tough job(since its not at the university level)I m sure you ll find someone out there!
and best wishes for your venture too!:type:

Hi Prachi,
Nice to hear from you. Can you send me your current resume? Any wave files/samples of your work? However, I'll have to be honest with you and let you know that the project is still in its nascent stage and I do not want to get your hopes too high. I have just begun casting the net for resources and it maybe *atleast* six months before the start of production.
I do hope we can work together in the future. If I may ask, when are you coming here? Not that it matters cause If things work out we can link up remotely too. Its your voice that I am after :-). I did not notice your earlier message until now. I posted an other mssg in general chat about the various talent that I am looking for. BTW:In my production your Indian accent will be an asset. So whatever you do, try not to loose it completely :-)
-Jacob

Hello Jacob

I am a new immigrant in Canada. I am a Hindi teacher from Mauritius. I have worked with children from 5 to 14yrs old, and with much pride i would say that my kids of 5 used to converse very well in Hindi. To tell you the truth, i have been looking for such an opportunity since i am here. If i could join you in your project, i shall be very happy. One more thing that may interest you is that i am an educational resource developer too. In Mauritius i was working on a project where i was required to design educative resources on an interactive whiteboard. In fact i have completed my bachelor in educational and instructional technology and will soon start my Masters in instructional design online. If you think i can help, pls contact me: Jithee seenauth 514 662 2244/ jitheehennyseenauth@yahoo.com. Thank you.

it is rather an indirect feedback for the website..
We have seen it happening earlier also that CD s inadvertently respond to stale topics. One of the reason is that the date time is not so visible. Need to make it more prominent along the post.

my few cents...

What is the translation for "table tennis" and "railway signal" in Hindi?

Railway signal: Jigu-bugu-jigu-bugu-yawat-jawat-soochana-yantra.

Table Tennis : Lakdi ke phalak kshetra pey ley takaatak dey takaatak
