I feel that you should travel light since most of the imported stuff is available in India at comparable prices...I shall give you prices of a wide variety of stuff :
Laptop Acer : Rs 29,999
Sony 21 TV : Rs 10,000
Most branded AC's : Rs 10,000
DVD's : Rs 3000 upwards
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you in India or just dreaming?
I would love to buy an air conditioner for 10K. Quickly tell me where can I find one. And please do not give the URL of an auction site.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Following is a link to Samsung's company website, showing the price for a 1.0 ton window AC apprx Rs. 14,000. One thing I know that the prices shown on the company websites are higher than what you may get at the Dealer's shop.

Yes, I am in India..You could go to the auction site of http://www.indiatimes.com" rel="nofollow">LINK where air conditioners are up for auction starting at Rs 9,999. I do not feel you have been to India since a long time...Prices of electronics are either static or have reduced..and yes normally dealer prices are at least 15% less than web site rates..

Take back with you:
the habit of saying Thank you even to your subordinates and to people who might have done the smallest of acts to benefit you, even thought mandatory for them.
the habit of not breaking the queue to get attended earlier than others
And so on and so forth!

Microsoft - Which end of the stick do you want today?
No I think Chandresh's advice was really a good one. These are the things which evry Indian should be learning and practising. I beleive if we learn these things fast we need not be in paraayaa desh any more!!

If you can prove to the Indian Customs that you are moving back for good, then you may not be charged any customs/duties.
