Dollar Credit Card.
Dear Colleagues,
I am to land in Canada soon. I would like to know and apply for a credit card(dollar) from a bank or a company which takes these factors into consideration:-
1)Right now my address will be my relative's in Canada.
2)I will be searching for an employment,so no salaries to state or maybe hypothetical?
3)Will be applying for SIN and PR card soon.
I assume there are a few credit card companies/banks which issue a debit card wherein one has to put in some cash and withdraw the same.
Will I get a credit card on the basis of these details and which companies/banks offer them?
Or have to settle for a dollar debit card till i fing employment, accomodation in Canada?
Pl.inform.

I got a secured credit card from TD bank as soon as I had my SIN number. I had to invest / lock 1000 Dollars in a GIC for a 1 year limit, to get a credit limit of 1000 CAD.
You can always top your credit limit by increasing the amount you invest in locked GICs (although it defeats the purpose of having a credit card)

Do not apply for too many unsecured cards too soon. Each application of yours for credit card is noted down in your credit history. Initially, without a job, only option available would be secured credit card from a bank such as TD Bank or Scotiabank.
