I friend of mine applied for citizenship for himself and his two kids. Citizenship department has requested origional birth certificates for the kids. The Kids birth was not registered back in India and therefore he doesn't have any brith certificate for his kids. What alternate documents can be presented to show parent/child relationship in absence of birth certificates for kids for there citizenship application.
Does he need something in writing to explain that he doesn't have any birth certificate and what other documents he can submit as proof for parent/child relationship.
when and where the kids were born? perhaps can get some help-pasha
Both kids were born in Punjab- India. 1989 and 1990
Hi
you only have to go to the Indian Embassy (where ever you are located in Canada) and ask them to provide you with the Birth Certificates

tsm,
Its not a very tough situation. If the kids were born in rural area you have to contact the civil surgeon of the district and get the birth registered as late entry. And you will get the original birth. In case of birth in urban area concerned Municipal Commissioner is key person. Thats for punjab state in India--Pasha
