RCMP Citzenship Background Check

I applied for Citizenship last July and I called CIC today and they told me they are conducting the background check on my file and send it to RCMP. Any idea how long RCMP background check take? Should I contact my local MP? Would that do any good?

Just sit and relax

It will take around 3-4 months for this
