Indian politicians are saying muslims who ruled India for 800 years need reservation!! What is the logic..?

Seems like this is only true for andhra pradesh !!
I am neither in favour of the reservation nor against but I can see that being justified in a lot of ways..............this is my interpretation it does not have to be necessarily the truth but i think its reasonable enough.
Besides I have been stung by the reservation bee after I graduated from my 12th grade so I know how it feels but I also know some people who got into medical college and did not even make it through; but there was a girl and today that girl's a doctor and to think her dad was a doorman and from a backward class. On a second note,something good comes out of whatever happens.......I wouldnt be here if I had gotten where I wanted to go after my 12th grade so it doesnt matter to me anymore, but may be to a lot of you it did hurt!
Anyways back to my point reservation may be justified on the basis of these reasons.
The NCRWC has given specific reasons for affirmative action of reservation that is to \\\"raise the levels of capabilities of people of the disadvantaged sections and to bring them at par with the other section of the society.\"
a) Steps should be taken for improvement of educational standards amongst the minority communities. Special programmes should be drawn up after the widest consultation with the leaders of minority communities including leaders of BCs, SCs, and STs among Minorities from academic Professional, business and socio-political spheres and from low-occupation spheres.\"
(b) At present the political representation of minority communities in legislatures, especially Muslims has fallen well below their proportion of population. The proportion of BCs among them is next to nill. This can lead to a sense of alienation. It is recommended that in situation of this kind it is incumbent for political parties to build up leadership potential in the minority communities including BCs, SCs, and STs among them for participation in political life.
(c) Backward Classes belonging to religious minorities who have been identified and included in the list of backward classes and who in fact constitute the bulk of the population of religious minorities, should be taken up with special care along their Hindu counterparts in the developmental efforts for the backward class.\"
If somebody sees that there is any bias in what I have said I dont know what to say and one more thing the BC commission did not have one muslim.
Constructive criticism builds a great team,family,company,and a country but just basic leg pulling because of our stuck beliefs isnt going to help anybody.

I agree that people who ruled for 800 years should not get reservation or for that matter any special privilege.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
But I do support reservations / affirmative action for those who deserve it.
And its not for people who sat on their asses for 800 years.
