Since somebody here always seems to have the answer I thought I might try to post my question here as well. I applied for citizenship in Jan 2005, as of today I have no rcvd ack ltr. I call Imm n they told me that they sent a letter in april but I never got them. So i asked for my file number and they told me I could see my case status online in a months time. Does anyone know how much longer I have to wait. And also I made a mistake in signing on the photo , i signed the back instead of the front, Do u think the Immg woould have told me smthng or they accpeted my application. Thanks . Any response from anyone would be highly appreciated.

Sometimes it takes upto 8-9 months before the file can be seen online.
So dont panic about that .

Hi all just wanted to share with all of u who filed for citizenship, esp those who filed in Jan 2005. It took me almost 10 months to get my citizenship.

Applied in Jan 2005.
Ack recvd in July 2005.
Citizenship test Oct 2005

Waiting for my OATH probaly by end of October 2005, I f all goes well I can finally call myself a Canadian .. EH!

the processing times have changed, It take about 3-4 months after you apply to get the acknowledgement, then after it takes abot 15months to get your letter from CIC for you take the test ad after wards its about 1month to take your oath.

Nazia, what part of toronto did u apply from? Anyone know if there are different times for ppl who apply from one area of the city versus another?
