Sai,
Best way to describe journey of Canada is this way.........
You are standing in a huge long que where now your position is almost in middle of the que's length. Beside you is a short que, you decide to jump from short que and take last position in small que. Now when you are in shorter que you realise long que is moving faster but now you cannot take risk again to jump back to the back of long que. So you are in a fix. Person monitoring short que shouts that sinlge person can come over jumping que..(this happen in rides when you are standing in que here)....if you are the lucky one, you have made entry very fast otherwise be happy standing in short que which is hardly moving anywhere......:)

As you would read in other posts on this forum, taxes in Canada are among the highest in the world. Here also, if you are doing a job you pay high taxes but if you form a company, take a contract from the same place where you were doing a job then you get to pay less taxes.

As in India or for that matter any other country, you do get tax savings if you invest in RRSP, RESP, etc.

Better roads, less corruption, etc. is a good part about Canada though. However, you face problems like drugs, alcohol, indiscipline rampantly.

More later.
Rgds.

Not true! Do you know what 'taxes' in Europe are like?

Again a common misconception......doesn't work at all income levels!

sai,
i can understand your views about problems in india. i myself have almost similar views . but some time i think that we think in a very broad prospective and unnecessary goes in pessimissim. you may be right that literacy rate is very low in india. but you are a qualified engineer . dont see u as a part of that illetrate crowd and instead try to focus on your own life including your family then surely you will feel better.
in canada when you see yoursef jobless and resourceless amongst the affulents having big cars and houses you will feel so isolated. your educational qualification will not get straightway recongnition . you will find yourself in vicious circle of unending phase of struggle.

i am not demoralising you . if you have decided to move canada . be strong footed and then forget india and concentrate solely on canda. biggest thing in your favour is your younger age and your bachelor status.
i am sure if you have decided not to look back and prepared to face whatever hardship come in your way , you will definately get sweet taste of success.

Sai,

You are young and obviously sick of the place you are in.
Although all the hard work and positive energy you will put in Canada, you can do so even in India, right?
There are successful people in India too, right?
Why give up so easily?

But come along :w.

Once here you can become a citizen and move to ----> :usaflag :D

Arey Sai hero,

Idhar aao boss. But pack with you lots of good attitude, ambition, grit, gumption, perserverance, tenacity and a lot of 'cojones' .:p :)

Apun ko ekdum belief hai ke kaamyaabi aap ke taraf laazum aayegi.

'Cojones' is a word I picked up in NYC. Literal meaning writing to Big Brother shouting. but figuratively speaking it meaning guts.
