You can continue extending H1B one year at a time if.

1. If your current employer does not withdraw labor
2. Your current employer does not use it as labor substitution for another employee,
3. Your labor with current employer should have been pending for more than 365 days.

I will be filing my 9th year extension soon. Also I would suggest to keep retrogresssion of priority dates in mind while making decisions.

prash, is that possible. i have been out of touch of iimigration issues for some time. thanks for the info
