Hi,
I have seen many times, latest replies on threads that are almost inacittve since a year or more. Not sure what is the advantage / benefit of such replies and/or additions to the 'Dead" threads. since the person who initiated the thread may / may not be visitng it anymore.

Here is the latest one I saw today.

Is there any " Aging " process in place ? Where you can figure out that a particular thread is being inactive for some period say more than 3+ plus months and no new posts are being added to that. and in such cases you can lock such threads

I still would prefer that people can read the thread but can not update or post new replies on such threads.

Please suggest unless you think otherwise.

Thanks

Old threads are being replied to because somebody surfing the board finds it interesting and has something to say about the subject matter. It is discussion board an some stick it for a few days, some for few months and some for years........
