Childs birth certificate
I got letter for submitting original birth certificate of my daughter for citizenship application. Actually I submitted translated one and with notary stamp but they ask me not to submit hospital birth certificate but the one in which mother and father name should appear and if not in english must be translated to english and notorized in canada. Now its very costly affair, instead of that is it good to have birth certificate from my backhome in english itself, any suggestion??
As long as it from the correct authorities it should be fine. if you are going to get it translated in India -then you need to use a certified person. Ithink CIC gives a list of translators they approve of. but deffinately getting it done India will bee cheaper. but do you have the time? you might end up ppaying more in courier charges.
Actually I submitted one which has notory red stamp, which is valid here. But i don know they send it back stating that hospital birth certificate is not valid! The one where mother-father name appears is only valid. In fact the one, I submitted has both the names.
you cant do much . send the original . attach the translation and mark where both parents are named.
