I have fuller hair, and already have a trimmer. Never used it, but often thought about it. I think it would be a struggle to keep the hair cut professional if doing it yourself - may be if you have less hair.

As Fido said it, just go to Dundas street W & Hurontario intersection and in Newin centre, there are many who do it.
You need to be smart and with a trimmed beard ( if at all you have a beard) to be considered for employment so I would suggest that you pay for the services of a prof. barber so that your hair is done nicely.
I cut my hair in 2011 Feb lasttime in Canada at Mahek for $ 9 or $ 10. Hard to belive that even in 2014, you get haircuts for $ 8. In 2008, I was informed by chinese that in the chinese shops it is only $ 5 but I advise against using it as they just run the trimmer over your head.

Thanks to all, I got one near my place for C$7 each, Chinese lady did superb cutting, I am more than happy with her job. It's on bloor st.
The going rate is usually $ 8 cash for desi hair cut guys. If they are not busy , they do a good haircut , otherwise you will get a horrible haircut.
