Hi,
You do need to get a B.Ed degree to teach in schools in Canada (No matter how many years' experience you have). As to where to get the degree from, http://www.studyincanada.com" rel="nofollow">LINK is a good place to start your search.
1. Once there, go to the Undergrad schools link,
2. then click on the #2 link (schools),
3. next click on the "Community Services" link.
That should take you to a page where you have links to Education programs besides a host of others.
Hope this helps
All the best
Hi,
Are you sure you want to get into teaching?
It is a very very tough job, and I say so even after working for over ten years in the corporate and media sectors under very stressed-out conditions
In retrospect, that stress was nothing compared to what I face now as a teacher (in India). I hear from teachers in Canada and US that the expectation from teachers in these countries is MUCH more.
Maybe you should talk to a few teachers there first, understand exactly what they do (teaching is not only teaching, as I am sure you know) and then take a call?
Maybe I'm playing the Devil's Advocate with my previous post and all, but I really think that you should explore being a teacher a bit more before going for a B.Ed degree.
