i will be coming to toronto in a few weeks. i wanted some help reg these matters:

--> what kind of winter clothes are needed and how much do they cost. if you can give a approx amt then i can plan my budget accordingly.

--> should i use more of credit cards to buy stuff or cash or debit cards? i mean for daily purchase.

Do a search and you will see some threads about winter clothing. The cost depends on your tastes and quality of the outfits.

If the credit card is NorthAmerican...it may help to start using it to build your credit history.

I avoid using debit cards...especially in smaller stores and gas stations. With debit cards banks usually give you trouble in case of fraud/misuse...I got this info from someone who works in the visa fraud dept of a major canadian bank.

With credit cards its easier to protect yourself from liability incase of fraud and you can also do chargebacks(over the phone...without too much hassle) if your reasons for doing so are valid enough.
