PR holder booked and appointment (September End) for visitor visa with indian passport number.

After booking an appointment He has renewed his passport and got new passport with new passport number, issue place and issue date.

Still he has not fillup DS 156.

What should suppose to do? Fillup form with new passport number or old?

It would be a problem or not if not informing about new passport to US embessey and bring both passport at the time of appointment.

I don't want to cancel an appointment....

Let me know if anybody have an experience .....

No you cannt use your old passport ,u have to use new passport for your US visa and future documents ,just attach your new passport with old passport.

U take along your old passport and also your new one , present it while the interview ,its not a big issue as passports need to be changed after certain yrs .. If u have a name change or something like that then make an Affidavit and present it with neccessary doc.

The best thing to do is to call their 1-900 customer care number. The charge is around $2 or so a minute. Get what needs to be done from the horses mouth. I would not trust any outside individual's view unless he/she has personally experienced a similar situation.

Sidenote: Just this 1-900 number is $2 a minute. Donot think that all 1-900 numbers are $2 a minute. Some may be as much as $50 a minute.
