i would like to ask about the TRV visa coz i need to have my child travel with us and not to go by myself and start the sponsoring process without them.

Infos about the TRV visa, documents needed, processing time, step by step process is badly needed.

thnx every one.

Hi yy77,

AFAIK getting a TRV is very unlikely to be approved. This feedback comes in writing from the CHC New Delhi. Follow this link and you'd find their mail verbatim.

Dear tiger, unitz, ftfl, and friends.

i do have some questions looking for your generousity to guide.

1- my child has no passport of her own, she is added to her mother,s passport. should we submit the mother,s passport or make a new passport for my child?

2- who will undergo the medical exam, me as a sponsor or the child ?

3- detailed description of my trips. should i just right that down or will they ask about travel tickets or any other travel documents ?

4- can i travel outside of canada after submitting the sponsorship papers or should i stay waiting for the reply?

5- if i travel after after submitting the papers, can some body represent me?

thank you in advance every one.

I and wife are PR of Canada since 2010. We have made our first landing in Canada in 2010. Oour PR is alid till 2015 Oct. Now we want apply for our son who is 4 months old and we are still in India. I have these questions:
1. Is there no other way to apply for my son's PR while we are in India as many of the immigration consultants say that we can but I dont trust them and have a risk of paying their heavy processing fees which might go vain. The CIC website very clearly says that we cannot if we are not living in Canada. Please advise and also post any other link if possible.
2. If I go to Canada in a few weeks, Can I apply for his PR and sponsorship immedietely as I enter as I been to Canada twice for 4 days each visit?

Please advise as I need to urgently apply for his visa as I need to meet the residency requirements for my PR else even I might loose the PR.

A very urgent response is highly appreciated.

Many thanks and god bless

You need to live in Canada to sponsor your child. This means you need to show legitimate ties to Canada, not just enter for few days and leave. As you have mentioned, you need to also think about your own PR status since you were absent for a good 2 years.

If you have every intention to live in Canada, yes, you can sponsor your child after you start living in Canada. The only caveat, which you need to research to find out what that is - is the requirement of salary/earnings you will need to show via tax statements, to prove you can support the sponsorship. I am not sure if a child sponsorship requires proof of earnings and tax assessments.
