Obviously Muscat is known for Greenery and the beaches. I too lived for there from 2002 till 2004. We used to stay in Al Gubra opp to the OXY - Oman office or the more prominent recent landmark is the Safeer Hyper market. Everyday in the morning I used to have my breakfast looking at the Emirates (EK flight from Chennai to Dubai Via Muscat) Flight that floats in air the waiting for the landing clearance. Ours is the last tallest building before the seeb airport. So the flights normally start decending for landing and I stayed in the forth floor of the building so i when i pop out of my window I could see them straight away. It was really nostalgic and wonderful and I always rate Muscat as the best place to be with your family in Middle East. It was more peaceful there than anywhere else in Middle East. Applied for PR in 2005 and waiting to hear from CHC - London.
