Has anybody transferred their VOIP adapter to India, so that calls made to 416/905 numbers from that phone (and to that phone) are free local calls?
If Yes, which service provider did you use and any useful tips?
Thanks,
I think it is possible and legal as well. So long as you have a High Speed Internet connection, you can use VoIP.
May be u know - but just in case ... For HighSpeed Home Users - I would prefer 'Skype'.

Skype is a good service, but it does not give you a telephone number and outside the U.S and Canada, it's like a PC to PC call service.
Register at http://www.freeworlddialup.com/, It will give a fwd number then go to http://www.ipkall.com" rel="nofollow">LINK and register the fwd number and it will give you a Seattle area phone number. Get a VOIP phone or adapter configure it to FWD settings and connect it to any high speed internet connection anywhere and you can receive calls. Outgoing calls can be made using a phone card.
Its all free.
