What is the time taken by the RCMP for fingerprint check in case of Citizenship? I send RCMP digital fingerprints as I was told that in case of digital fingerprints the timeframe reduce significantly but 2 months have passed and I am still waiting. Can anybody please tell me that if you have digital fingerprints taken then how much time did RCMP take to verify them?

the same is the situation with me but for you it took two months I gave my fingerprints one month back. I applied from mississauga on 19th Dec.,2006 and I appeared for exam on the same day.( In mississauga we can apply after having an exam on the date when you finish 3 yrs stay in Canada). I wonder if the same is the case with you or you applied through mail.
Generally in most cases if fingerprints are asked it delays the process by 2-3 months than the normal time line. But in selected cases it can be delayed up to 6 months. If you call to call centre they will answer that if you dont get final decision by 12-15 then only call. But I asked the digital fingerprint expert he told me it takes about 6-8 weeks. So I think now after two months you should get any answer and best of luck
