Hi,
My immigration process is going to finish shortly, and I'll be landing in Montreal.
MY question is this, that I am (Principal Applicant) going to land first and other members will be landing later on.
I am going to bring some goods with me, and some of the goods will be bringing by other memebers, and some material will be book and come throguh any shipping line.
So do I have to submit the separate goods to follow lists one for which other family memebers will be bringing, and one which is coming through any carrier service. Or my wife can submit the list as goods bringing with her.
Can we submit the goods to follow list for jwellery also.As we don't want to carry all the jwellery in one go, and some jwellery we can bring later on, throguh other peoples hands, like if some relative will be coming to visit us in Canada, he can bring some items, with showing our goods to follow list at custom in Canada, or we can bring some items in our different trips.
Please clear my doubts.

Hi, I'm not sure if I I'll be able to exactly answer your query. We landed on May 7th and as far as I understood the principal applicant should carry a "Goods to follow list" which should include jewelry too. Please make two copies, one the customs keep and one is given back to us (for future references). The goods you carry with you should be on seperate list "Goods accompanied".
Later your wife/relatives can carry the copy of that list and the other papers and can mention the goods they are bringing on behalf of you. Same goes for the shipped goods the shipper should also have a copy of your "Goods to follow list". Honestly I also worried a lot but found the officers to be very nice/patient about every thing. You can ask them this at the time of landing too. The only thing they want to assess is the value of the items you bring in.
Hope this helps.
