I realized these questions needed immediate answer during one of my newtonian moments !.
1.In 2003 it was just Sam McDadi, in 2006 he became Sam McDadi B.Sc., and in 2007 he has become Sam McDadi MBA. How was it possible so fast ?.
2.Account Temps keeps advertizing that they have ONE million resumes on their DB. If the Canadian population is 33 million and one million of them are accountants then they represent 3% of the Canadian population. If 3% of them are on the Account Temps DB then what percentage of the population are accountants and how many of them have \"Permanent\" jobs ?.
3.In 2003 the shopping mall on the NW corner of Dixie and Dundas had a big Zellers and it had one Value Village. Now in 2007 the Zellers is gone and has been replaced by a Liqudators store and another used clothing store like Good Will called Talize. Does it reflect something on the Economy ?.
4.Due to the recent strengthning of the CAD against USD we find that more than a million jobs are going back to USA. Even this situation is cyclical the off shoot of this movement is that the $20 -$25 per hour jobs are disappearing from the manufacturing sector, while it is being replaced by $10 to $12 per hour service jobs. While there is a move to increase the lending rate. While one of the biggest automotive manufacturers MAGNA has lost out on its bid on Chrysler and its BMW contract in Austria. What is the point in a highly qualified MBA from India in immigrating to Canada and then working in Timmys and how is it going to affect the economy of Mississauga in the near and long term ?.
Questions to ponder upon on Victoria Day !.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
Sankaracharya,
I am glad that you are back. I was missing you a lot. I even told a CD who had come for dinner to my house that maybe you had gone to the USA on the H1B that you were talking about.
I hope that you will grace this site more often and as usual I would like to conclude by saying that you are a very well read man. Maybe many others in this site are well read but you are the only one who can put 2 and 2 together based on the news that you have read/ heard.

I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Even before the ink could dry on my earlier post NEWS about two of the major employers in Mississauga CFM and Masonite.
Another major employer called CPI Plastics is moving its production to China !.

The Goodrich plant closed last year, wiping out 1,000 jobs. Godinez's CFM barbecue plant will stop production, slash about 400 jobs and turn into a mere distribution centre by the fall. The nearby Masonite door plant, where Godinez joined the occupation in mid-afternoon, will shut down in August, eliminating about 400 more jobs.
"I had plans for my family and children but what can I do now?" asked Godinez, a CFM quality inspector and 11-year plant veteran. "I will probably go back to school. In the Philippines, everyone told me there was a lot of work and a future in Canada. I'm not seeing it now."

The moral of the story for people in Manufacturing sector is if you are planning of landing anytime soon then just land and get back to your earlier destination and wait for the economy to pickup.
