She is presently the Governor of Rajasthan...... Think they got a lot of pressure from the left ..... so probably trying to play the women card now. The left and some allies want their ",pound of flesh"as they know congres cannot get its candidate elected without their support. Infact left might announce their own candidate & i also heard some news that they might support "Nirmala Deshpande".... an old Ghandian ..... well again the proposed name is a women .... think that is "flavor of the month "as far as presidental candidates are concerned.
Well it seems this is a new development with her being teh joint candidate of left & congress.......

..wonder what made A. Kalam unfit for continuing???-maybe his neutral and patriotic stand. Imagine Sonia, Maya and Karunanidhi deciding who the next President will be...as if the country is thier personal property..(unfortunately our hapless/hopeless political leaders have made it so).

Well, he got his pound of flesh for supporting the UPA government. Who said this guy was clean? Selfsih to the core.
