Hi Friends,
I have my citizenship oath ceremony on Aug last week. This is a long awaited event but unfortunately I am not in a position to attend this. What is the consequenses if I miss the ceremony? Can I reschedule it? If so, how long it will take to get a call for the next oath? btw, I am in Windsor.

Try calling the CIC to reschedule it, you still have about 3 weeks to reschedule. But in case they cannot, I would strongly encourage/advise you to attend it. Because they say that if you miss it, your file will be closed - which is bad! Good luck.
call up the CIC toll free number & explain your position. though the call centre cant do any changes, if you are not given, ask for the fax number of the office you have been called for the oath ceremony & fax a request for reschedule. Mail the same letter by post to the "oath" office.
the rescheduled date is given usually 4 months from the 1st date - but you would know it just 5-10 days ahead of time; so keep checking the status online.
