Hi all,
This forum is awesome and thus I also thought of posting a question and am sure the answeres would help other new canadian citizens as well.
Q1. Our child born in Canada (parents Indian nationals) who is canadian citizen, can the child apply for OCI? (eventhough parents are indian natiionality at this time?)
Q2. How long does it take to get OCI for Indo Canadian (Indian nationals acquiring canadian citizenship recently?) what docs required?
Any help on the above would be highly appreciated.
HI !
if you are not in rush than apply for PIO and than OCI ...U will be able to save much .. ( I am not sure about OCI but you can definitely apply for PIO )
Timeframe is about upto 4 weeks..

Growing Old Is Mandatory ..Growing UP is Optional
1. No.
2. Minimum of one month.
For document list, refer to Indian consultate for your location. If you come under Toronto then refer to http://www.cgitoronto.ca/
It may seem strange but Toronto requires more number photographs than Ottawa for OCI.
