A Varanasi based UP's 17 yr old boy has developed Rs. 25K car and has been displayed at Auto Show. The cat give 40km/lit mileage and tested on highway. It is again 2 seater car. If Nano is for medium class people, This car would be for poor people.

Given he is using a scooter engine, milege etc. is probably accurate. But seriously doubt how the whole car can be done in 25K. With the current prices, getting a scooter (or other 150cc) engine, metal for the body, seats etc. itself will probably cost more (just the raw material cost).

Also, given the 160kg overall weight of the car, how much can it carry? Won't the car crumble if two adults get into it? Just wondering...

Never the less, it's a good work! May not practical, but surely impressive for a 16 yr old.
