IMO, apart from inconsistency, one of the drawback is the super ego of some of the players. "without me...." kinda thing. The selectors have shown that no one is indispensable after they showed the door to the 4 seniors in the T20 world cup. May be its time that Yuvraj is made to cool his heels for a few months just like Sehwag and then come back to score runs.

Wasnt everyone complaining about too much cricket and not having enough time for thier family? Now why suddenly everyone (players) are going nuts over paticipating in the IPL (non scheduled tournament)? What happened to those packed schedules of ICC for the next 3-4 years? Its high time players decide between $$ and family and stop blaming the busy schedules for fitness problems.
I also dont like the non-professionalism of Modi...he makes stupid and very direct threats - it may be true but it brings a lot of disrespect. I believe he should go in for some diplomatic speaking courses or the BCCI should ban him from talking to the press.

I agree about the inconsistency part but not about sacking Dhoni.
You've gotta give them some chances and take some risks (including brutal defeats) to actually build a better team long-term. The safe approach (of sticking with Seniors until they need dentures) has obviously not worked so far, has it?
The BCCI does need a better planning committee, things seems very ad-hoc right now. But to build a strong team long-term, it will be critical to experiment now and experimentation mandates tolerence to failures.

Are you there?
When Ganguly, Sehwag, Dravid, Raina, Kaif and so on so for can be drooped purely on the basis of poor form why not Yuvi.
One purely on the basis of Poor form
Second attitude problem
Actually Indian young team needs to be tested against quality bowling attack and they failed miserably against Aussies.
One need to have sound technique not only to play against quality bowling attack but also on Aussies pitches which are different from rest of the world.
How good Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly and Laxman adapt to Aussies quickly purely on the strength of their good Technique.
Young players needs to learn a lot from these folks before showing attittude.
Credit should go to Venky for grooming the young fast bowler Ishant who is a real find of Aussies tour and fast developing into a tear away fast bolwer.
Good luck Ishant for learning too much too quickly.
Others should also learn from Ishant.
Good luck to Team India!
