There are a few BANKS that have branches IN Canada and in India. I will give you a few here, ICICI, Stare Bank of India, HSBC and a few others.....

They all provide you with money transfers in an efficient mode. The features have been discussed here On Canadian Desi. Please do your search and you will know the best of the lot.

That does not matter. ( or Does it?) You choose the very nearest one close to where your family resides, for convenience. Then open an account here and in India. Get all of the details and the correct procedures etc., while you are here. Do remember that there are always delays in the receipt of the funds and so find them before you open the account. See if it suits your requirements here and in India also.
