hey everybody,
i recently got my immigration in canada. i came here as a student, then got work permit and finally, my goal like everybody else, the immigration. Although both my parents are living together and fit and fine, but rt now only my mom will be applying for the visitors visa in india, since she is still working with the govt deptt in india, she has more chances of getting the approval than my dad or if they apply together. i have sent the sponsorship letter, my paystubs, notice of assessment for last 2 yrs, bank statements and the medical insurance for my mom for her visit to canada.i know that nobody knows what are the chances of getting the approval, but i want to ask you guys if theres is anything else that can be done to improve the chances? will my getting the pr here and not going back to india after my study here in canada (like we all promise) be a reason for rejection? She is going to apply for the first and last time... although i hope she gets the visa, but we are going to be realistic about it... and accept the decision if she get didnt get it....

In my books you have done well.
Everyone has a good chance of getting to visit Canada. So, go ahead and apply. Your Parent does merit one too.
Good Luck.
Freddie.
Although I am on PR and have a very good job, my parent's visa got rejected reason being that they thought parents are potential immigrants. We re-applied after 6 months and submitted a notarized letter stating that they will be and they need to go back before their visa expires. This time they did get the visa. Not sure how much of a letter played a role here.

I am happy for you. The Second Visa Officer saw the merits of the case and provided you with due credit and for your Parents a Visa to visit the country and be with you.
Congratulations.
Freddie.
My parents visitor visa was just rejected. They simply wanted to visit me and attend my graduation. IT was rejected on family ties. It's been very frustrating for me, especially knowing that it is a genuiene case, and yet it was rejected. I am reapplying in a month's time again. I read your email twice a day and it gives me some hope.
We ve applied today....fingers crossed, result in a week...
