Is it true that McDonalds employees in India make 165 $ a month ?

I was reading an article about McDonalds sucess story in India which mentioned this figure(April 30, 2007 ) . http://www.chicagobusiness.com/cgi-bin/article.pl?article_id=27686

"Downstairs, the front counter is crowded with eager employees, all with the same optimistic look in their eyes. This is, after all, a country on the rise. Their average wages are 6,000 rupees, or almost $145 a month in a land where the average annual income is about $500."



Here in Canada a McDonalds employee makes 165 $ in Two days.
