Hi everybody,
I plan to move to Canada by August. Most likely I will be based in Toronto / Waterloo/Mississauga area.
I am new to this website and must say that I am greatly impressed with the kind of ready and quality assistance and advice given to new-comers here. In particular, I refer to the responses to NM on franchise / restaurant opportunities by ftfl/investpro/NM/ tigercanada!! Hats off to you all for the support!
One of my contacts in India has asked me to consider marketing exploration and drilling equipment (made in South Africa/Australia/India and are world class) to industry in Canada. Users will be in the Oil & Gas industry and Mining industry.
Having a quality product alone will not suffice - these products have to backed up by good service as machine downtime will be expensive.
So I have been advised to look out for reputed contractors / contracting companies with whom we can tie up for service support on a pay-per-use basis.
I would like your assistance in identifying such reliable contract service providers to the oil&gas industry and to the mining industry.
I would like to have the names of such companies, their websites and if possible, any contacts there.
If any of you have specific information on the performance and prospects for this kind of business, please do let have your gyaan!!
Shall be grateful for your assistance!!
These people have been here for a while in the same business and have been doing a bit of good service in two other countries. They will only utilize the services of a few dependable suppliers and service providers.

There are a lot more in similar business here, who do drilling and servicing here locally. But they will need your presence here and need establishing yourself for a long long time before they will even consider you as one or even accept a phone call. You may be good and you may be excellent but some where else.
To be accepted, you have to have a local office and a business associate. Hence team up with some one who has such a service. I am sure your parts can be adapted or substituted with the local equipment, currently on the market. And hope it also performs well and lasts longer. Here are a few useful links. They are not the latest nor are they comprehensive. This is just a sample of the cross section. The big guys as you know, are in TEXAS.
