I came across this online high school for Ontario. It claims to be accredited with school board.

The fees for each credit is about $500.
Does anyone have any experience dealing with it?

It is a private school. Usually used by students to bump up the grades. Ministry recognized means nothing as far as quality is concern. There are many private schools like this.
Yes, I agree with you. I exprimented that with one subject for my daughter and it was not a great experience.
They are providing on-line courses and for kids around the age of 15-16 it is hard for them to be disciplined to complete the study with a teacher who is remote.
Theoritically this can be used to complete the highshool in on 3 years.
