I have a couple of questions. My bro in law is working in Vancouver on a work permit. He had gone through the labour market opinion with HRSDC when he had applied for a work permit.
He still has 10 months of his work permit left. He is now applying for fast track Federal Skilled Worker permanent residency.
My questions are:
1. Is a copy of the letter from his employer indicating a permanent job offer sufficient? Or does he have to go through another labour market opinion through HRSDC?
2. As he has left with only 10 months on his work permit. will this be an obstacle?
Any suggestions / answers will be appreciated.
Thanks

1. Another LMO is not necessary. Permanent Job offer sufficient.
2. I do not understand your meaning of "Obstacle". But the issue is it will take more than one year to reach the final stages of PR process and before that he needs to extend his work permit which may require approval from the HRDC again.
Gurram: Thank you
We can move forward now. By obstacle I was meaning that by the time they issue the PR the work permit will have expired. The website indicates that work permit should be valid when the PR is issued. But as you have clarified; it is always possible to extend. So no problem.
Thanks
