Hi CD's,
How is it possible to get a line of credit from TD Canada Trust?
Regarding my situation:
Pros
I have been a regular customer of TD since March'08. I have been using credit card as well procured from them.
I have always made my payments pertaining to utility bills etc. in advance.
Have a stable job just two months after landing.
Cons
I have'nt stayed in this country for long and hence could'nt build much credit history.
I don't have assets in my name and hence cannot apply loans with security.
However I was wondering if it is possible to get a line of credit to the extent of average balance in my account since opening of my account.
Can you please enlighten how to approach the bank?
Replies will be highly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

In order to have good credit history, you instruct bank to deduct your credit card balance direcly from your check in account. The bank will debit your check in account exactly on due date and you don't have to worry about spoiling your credit history.
you go to financial division and talk to officer in td canada and they are very helpful. I am sure you will be able to convince them and get your work done faster than you realise.

I had instructed my bank to re-imburse credit card bills from my a/c with them on a monthly basis, the very first month I used my credit card.
However I was not doing much transactions with my credit card and used interac instead.
