....anyway thanks a lot CD's for your inputs and advice....

I have experienced first winters in Toronto. Cut the long story short, if you can move to Vancouver, Just move their. As I have experienced Vancouver type weather in England ,It is 100 times better.
But you have look at your job & house affordability issues too.

Couldn't agree more. This reason is more than enough to call it a day in Vancouver. What does all the beautifulness do when your pockets are empty at the end of the month. I always believe Torontonians have more disposable income, despite of all the brouhaha of snow, winters, etc. due to the very fact that you guys spend relatively less on real-estate each month.

As for the vibrancy is concerned vis-a-vis Vancouver, then it's a personal choice. Vancouver downtown and city is vibrant enough and although not at par with Toronto, still provides the best of clubs, eateries, pubs, and a nightlife.

But hey, only if you could afford an expansive house in Vancouver. Otherwise, Toronto is the best bet any given day for career and housing.

I could be wrong but the eastern provinces including Ontario pays more in car insurance than bc, utilities and house insurance.

I dont know why there is a perception that the economy is slow in bc. I know people that have tried to find work in ontario and have been forced to move elsewhere.

interesting. However i do agree about bc that you dont get the harsh winters but its also not as sunny. Which sometimes isnt always better!!
