i have applied for renew my PR card since 2 months as Urgent, and when i checked my eCASE i found the below messages:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 06, 2011.

We started processing your application on May 06, 2011.

We transferred your application to the local CIC office on July 05, 2011. The local CIC office may contact you.


regarding the last message 'Local CIC Office may contact you' what this is mean? and how long it will take to contact me?

i tried to call the CIC and i didn't get clear answer regarding the time frame...

did you receive the same message in your eCASE?

its consider as good or bad news?

Please advice .....

Mine reads like this:

We received your application for a permanent resident card on May 16, 2011.

We started processing your application on May 17, 2011.

Your request for a permanent resident card was approved on May 17, 2011. You will be notified by mail within four weeks and invited to pick up your card at the CIC office closest to you.

BTW, I am back from my vacation and received the pink notification letter (pick up PR card, even though I had collected it on July 13) in the mail. My urgent travel date was July 16, and I was scheduled to pick it up on July 20th..The card was in the local office since 3rd week May....

Good job that they processed and prepared my card within a day, but huge process / communication gap in scheduling me to pick it up..
