The Mullaperiyar Issue between the states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala is actually Media Frenzy Part II.
The Media Frenzy Part I called ISRO Spy Ring Case, was scripted and directed solely by the Keralite news media , resulted in destroying the then space programme of the ISRO, wrongful confinement in jail of two eminent scientists M/s Nambi Narayanan and Sukumaran, made them stand naked and questioned by physical and mental torture. The investigation later by the CBI and by the Supreme Court proved that the entire media build up was rubbish. Consequently, the affected scientists were transferred, given desk jobs. Previously, they had been heading cutting edge space projects like liquid propulsion and cryogenic engines. At the climax of the movie was the resignation of then Chief Minister Karunakaran and handing over the power to who else A.K Anthony. The movie then came to an end.
Though, one of the scientists have sued the state and central governments for compensation, the media having done all the damages they liked to do have gone scot-free.
Now in the Media Frenzy Part II, which we can call Mullaperiyar Dam Issue, the Keralite news media is helped by the satellite TV and movie channels. Do not wish to go into the line-by-line script of the Kerala news media as it will only add fuel to the fire created by them. For all their generosity, they have co-opted the leaders and cadres of letter pad political parties in Tamil Nadu. The latter have fallen head over heels in co-scripting and co-directing this episode that only causes innumerable hardship to the common man on either side of the border
As in Part I, this time too, Truth will be the casualty and the media will walk away free.

Please expand on/explain the Mullai periar issue. Even I donot understand what it is all about. All I see is JJ's statement that Kerala is at fault for fear mongering. I am not seeing any Kerala's reply except for bandh's, Hartal (one is happening today) and violence.

Because of the illegal reduction of height from 152ft to 136ft , in spite of the Supreme Court Order, a few thousand acres of the dam site had surfaced out of water, which have been converted to bungalows, farm houses and resorts by the rich and the influential.
They do not want to lose any part of their property built on unapproved land for which the Tamil Nadu government is paying rent as per the lease agreement for 999 years.
