Hi There !

Anybody completed immigration process to quebec with no knowledge of french ?

My brother qualified for the quebec immigration program, having zero knowledge of french which he clearly mentioned in application.
He filed application and got the file number recently. wondering if his file will move through the process successfully ? Anybody out there who has gone through complete quebec skilled worker immigration process with only english language skills ? I have few subsequent queries.

is it possible for you to share the details of your brother, like
1) educational qualifications
2) experience
3) NOC etc
4) when he applied ( time line )
5) any other relevant info

1) masters in computer application
2) 8 years
3) NOC ?? I wonder why you asked that question in context of quebec ?

To obtain certificate of selection from quebec you need to check on section A, B ,C, D, E of Area of Training Gazette (of Nov 2009). French bhai log NOC nahi mantey !
in case your degree and profession fall in section A of list, you will gain almost 20 points, B gets 15, C gets 8, D gets 3 and E gets none . Lol they mentioned even degrees which will get 0 points in the list.

the rules are changing fast in march a new list was published, i am unable to locate that list , may be they forgot to publish in english ;-)

4. Nov 2011, mar 21, 2012 onwards there are more restriction put in on occupations.

I dont know naything about Quebec or PNP for that matter thus I thought there may be NOC in Q as well .

I got curious to know how the Quebec immigration works as some of my relatives keep asking about immigrating to Canada so thought I'll be able to share if it suits somebody .

Anyways thanks for sharing the info and all the best for your brother .
