Bashing USA is a world time pass but most of them would never deny opportunity if offered green card.

Green card can be very complex lengthy process for Indian born. Straight Yes/No ans may not be great idea. If company is ready to file labor on day 1 in EB2 then you can rent and stay in silicon valley for sometime. You can follow AC21 with EAD and move to other job and state same flexibility like green card.

Most of the Canadian never lived, worked, medical and paid taxes but lot of them have very negative view about USA. Yes, USA has lot of problems..one to every 4 kid go bed without proper dinner, 30 million no medical, high poverty in same areas, high unemployment in some skills/no skill, crime, guns, religion, US Fed, debt, politics and I can go on and on. Canada is great country with just 1T economy and 32 million people.
Canada has own problems but Canadian media spends more time on US problems.

You are not coming here for running for office or UN poverty mission. You know your skills, class, tax bracket, job market you qualify. There is 3% unemployment in STEM with univ degree. There is big demand of really good IT skills now.

We were in same boat like you. Lived/worked in USA for 6 years then moved to Canada. We moved back USA in 2011.

If you kids are small then think long term than just silicon valley living cost for a short period. Indian Americans are different and have different image in country as compare to Indian Canadian in Canada.

Good feedback rahul_singh. On the ground reality is very different than what is portrayed by the liberal media, neo con media, you tube videos or anything else. That goes for any country.

You are right about employment opportunities in STEM. I can't vouch for the percentage you have quoted; however, I can tell you the difficulties to find the right candidate to fill certain positions right from my personal experience. This goes for both Canada and the US.

Thanks guys.

I agree with Rahul_singh23 and dimple2001 but I have passed this opportunity at this point. I might consider in future if my circumstances change.
