Yes DELHI INDIAN you are right. You can pay only interest and rest go to principal if you pay extra. But I would recommend to pay more and always pay their minimum payment otherwise it will hit your credit history. I smell that you have LOC with RBC.

You can always pay your line of credit even you are in India or anywhere in the world as long as you have active account with the same bank where you have your LOC so you can transfer directly thru online. But you have to have funds in that account. If you planning to pay thru conversion INR to CAD, I wouldn't do if I were you. If you planning to go back home anytime soon, why not pay half home loan thru LOC then rest later. Did you check back-home is there any pre-penatly to pay loan early?
