The Jindal Steel and Power Ltd, which is owned by him, got a coal field in February 2009. It has reserves of 1,500 million tonnes. The Opposition alleged that the Government violated all norms to give him coal fields. He, however, has denied any wrongdoing.

Naveen Jindal's Jindal Power Ltd won back its previously held block -- Gare Palma IV/2 & 3 in Chhattisgarh -- on day six of the auctions.
While as the tainted block had reserves of 1,500 million tons when the allotment was done by MMS, it is now supposed to have only 155 million tons ..... mera bharat pareshan !!!
May be Naveen Jindal should rename his company Jindal Street Power.
From 1500 million to 155 million where did the money go in selling these 1350 million tonnes. If somebody would hang them upside down the coins may pour down from their shirt pockets i.e., the country's stolen wealth hidden in tax havens.
Modi till now has disappointed us nor is he likely to taken on the robbers.

In a striking or stinking show of solidarity, whichever way the people of India would take this, Sonia and other Congress leaders marched to MMS house and assured him of their support.
MMS with his Mr.Clean image still intact would not want Vadra's mother-in-law and her cronies nowhere near his house.
The former Finance Minister Chidambaram would also be happy to know that the 'Mother Earth' from various states like Chatisgarh, Odisha, Bengal etc., has donated as much as 200,000 crores by way of coal block auctions.
The auction of spectrum has also crossed 100,000 crores mark.
Chidambaram's alliance partner in the UPA, Mr. Karunanidhi must be very upset that he is now not in alliance with BJP, like during ABV days. Otherwise, he would have truck loads of advice on how to do expenditure on the 3 lac crores.
However, one thing that irks is why when dozens of coal blocks have been dished out to people like horse traders or real estate agents by the UPA, why CBI should pick on this rather genuine beneficiary of Birla/Hindalco. May be they want their former chief to get away with a minimum court stricture.
